What are dermal fillers?

A non-surgical cosmetic treatment used for adding enhanced volume to areas of the face.

When will I see full results?

Results can vary from person to person. On average, full results can be seen after 5-7 days.

Can I exercise after having dermal filler injections? 

It is beneficial to wait at least a week after dermal fillers before doing any strenuous exercise to avoid risk of infection and movement of the filler. We recommend you avoid yoga too since inverted positions such as headstands could increase the risk of bruising and swelling. 

How soon after having dermal fillers can I touch my face? 

Do not touch or rub the treated area for at least six hours after treatment. After that, you can gently clean the area and apply light make-up.

How long does it take for facial fillers to settle? 

It can take up to two weeks for facial fillers to settle into place.

Should I expect to feel any pain after having dermal fillers injected in my face? 

Most patients will not experience any pain after having dermal fillers. But some people may find they have a little bit of soreness and/or mild bruising at the site of injection. 

How long does it take for dermal filler treatment to work? 

You can expect to see the results of the procedure immediately. If there is any swelling, this should take 5-7 days to settle down. 

What are some of the possible side effects I should be aware of? 

Possible side effects include: 

  • Red or purple, swollen, bruised or discoloured skin
  • itchy skin
  • lumpy skin
  • prolonged firmness
  • bleeding
  • pain
  • infection
  • an abscess, a nodule or a granuloma (a small area of inflammation)
  • local necrosis (tissue death)
  • an allergic reaction
  • acne 

In rare cases, a scab can form where the treatment was administered, which can result in a scar. 

 

Allergic reaction can occur after Dermal Fillers. Should you notice any discoloration, tightness of the skin, blanching, pustules, scabbing or unusual discomfort after treatment,  please call us on 07979 552338 immediately. 

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy For L’Amour Clinic

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and we sincerely hope that your family have kept safe and well.  We have missed being able to offer you the treatments that we know you love, and we are looking forward to seeing you again at the clinic.

Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon, we have implemented a number of changes, which we would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been shut, we have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control Course, which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. We have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.

Booking Appointments

 If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and do not come to the salon for your appointment. We will not be able to go ahead with your appointment if you show signs you are unwell. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments, which you miss due to illness/ other. Deposits/booking fees can be rescheduled until further notice but cannot be refunded

Visiting the Salon

For your safety and to maintain social distancing, we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving.

Please attend your appointment alone in order to reduce human contact with our staff. Unfortunately, friends and family members cannot enter the premises. If you have booked appointments with friends /family members back to back then please continue to come to the clinic alone – one at a time.

We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single-use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross-infection.

We will have hand sanitiser available for you to use when you come into the salon.

We will understand and not be offended if you wish to wear a facemask or wear disposable gloves when you visit the salon and during your treatment is this is appropriate.

Please don’t be surprised or upset if our staff use personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves, facemasks, aprons where appropriate.

We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority and that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.

Our treatments

We have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and we are confident that we can continue to provide these safely.

During your treatment

Our staff understands the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

We will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.

After the treatment

In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by PayPal or bank transfer.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our staff. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
